Shanahan Engineering was awarded a lump sum contract by General Electric to manage the installation and commissioning of the world's first and largest "H" type industrial gas turbine. We were responsible for the planning, execution and completion of this project from design through to first fire. Out team worked form the GE headquarters in Schenectady, New York, USA to prepare work packages for local tender, overall integrated work schedule and constructability reviews of the engineering prepared by Chicago based AE, Sargeant & Lundy. Shanahan was also appointed a principal contract, with overall responsibility for safety and environmental control.
