Since 1982, Shanahan Engineering has provided both technical and supervisory field services to the oil & gas industry. In the early 1980's it secured contracts with Zairep (now Total) for a long term operations & maintenance contract for an onshore facility. It later secured contracts with Chevron for both onshore and offshore facilities in the former Zaire and Angola. At the Molongo base in Cabinda, it provided Chevron with civil and mechanical construction support services for an onshore topping plant and provided classroom training for local operators.

In 1996, the Company signed a long term service agreement with Nuovo Pignone and today it provides its customer with controls specialists for onshore and offshore mechanical drive applications in the oil & gas industry.

Today the Company continues to provide services to this sector in Russia, Algeria, Nigeria, Thailand, Venezuela, Turkey and other oil producing regions.
