Shanahan Engineering awarded contract to audit licensed electricity generators in South Africa.

Shanahan Engineering is proud to announce the award of a contract with AFRICON, to perform certain consultancy services together with EIRGRID and AFRICON to audit licenced power generators in South Africa on behalf of the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA). This program is part of a multi-disciplined operation to assess the level of compliance of Electricity Generators to the South African Grid Code.

The work is taking place over two phases, with the latter phase requiring a series of audits on a selection of electricity generators across South Africa.

The multi-disciplined Irish-South African team has been working closely to produce a world class audit and this will result in an environment where NERSA will enhance communication with all stakeholders.
